Social Committee - Soul Food Luncheon

The Support Staff Association (SSA) is planning a soul food luncheon in honor of Black History Month. The luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 20th from 12 noon – 2 PM in the East Community Room. Carryout trays will be provided for those who need to make their plate to go. The tentative menu consists of:

  • Fried and Baked Chicken
  • Collard Greens
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Candied Yams
  • Rolls
  • Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls
  • Lemonade or fruit punch and bottled water

The cost per person is $12.00. If you would like to attend, please send me a message stating that you plan on attending the event then submit your payment on or before Friday, February 14th to:

In closing, there will be a quiz and the prize will be a copy of “Becoming” by former First Lady Michelle Obama. In addition, there will be a separate raffle (auto-entry with purchase) for the book “We’re Going to Need More Wine” by Gabrielle Union.
