Important HFC-SSA Updates for July 2020
Vacation and Personal Business Time Rollover:
The HFC-SSA approved a Letter Of Agreement (LOA) that would allow 2019 vacation to rollover to 2020 vacation and 2019 personal business to rollover to 2020 personal business banks. The rollover vacation and personal business time must be used first, then new time added to the banks on July 1, 2020 will be used.

Use of Supplemental Time:
Effective June 1 through June 30, 2020, time can be supplemented in any order (SIC/VAC/PRB). This would include if your power went out because of the recent winds/storms and you were unable to work remotely. This will language will carry over for July 1, 2020- June 30, 2020.

Extension of the 2016-2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement was approved by an HFC-SSA membership vote on July 23, 2020.
We still need to wait for it to be approved at the August Board of Trustees meeting then we will be retroactively paid for our raises back to July 1,2020.

Paycheck 7/17 and Step increase effective 7/1:
The negotiation team signed an agreement, emailed out on 7/10 to extend the current contract for 1 year. However, the terms of that agreement including raises are not effective until after the agreement is (1) approved by the board of trustees and (2) approved by the SSA at the July Membership meeting. As soon as both parties vote to ratify the one year contract then we will be retroactively paid back to July 1, 2020.
HFC-SSA affiliation with the Technical, Professional and Officeworkers Association of Michigan (TPOAM) was approved by an HFC-SSA membership vote on July 23, 2020.

A dues increase for membership was approved by an HFC-SSA membership vote on July 23, 2020.
Dues will go up to 100% of 1 hour of wages effective July 1 2021. New Membership and <br>Payroll Authorization Forms will need to be signed for every member to continue dues after June 30, 2021.

All members are required to complete and return these forms to Joni Morris, Treasurer. Employees who submit the required documents by September 21, 2020 will be entered <br>into a raffle. The winner(s) will be announced at the General Membership meeting on September 24, 2020. Forms will be provided in a separate message.
