Volunteer Opportunity - Dearborn Historical Museum

The Dearborn Historical Museum Pioneer School Program is coming up soon, and we are still looking for volunteers to help us make this year a success! We have contacted you before and received some interest, so we wanted to reach out again to remind you of the details. Each spring the museum welcomes nearly 1,500 second grade students from Dearborn Public Schools, and other local schools, to participate in this field-trip opportunity. The Pioneer Program helps to show students what life was like in Wayne County for settlers during the 1830s. This rewarding program allows for multiple volunteer opportunities based on individual interest, including historical presenting. It provides a wonderful chance to gain experience in the museum and education fields, and to connect with the community while sharing Dearborn's history with the next generation. I have attached a list of positions to this email that we are looking to fill, as well as our volunteer flyer. We hope you will share this flyer with any group members or students who are interested in this opportunity.

Here are the program details: The Pioneer Program runs Mondays through Thursdays, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, March through May. Training is available for all new and returning volunteers! There is no minimum time requirement for volunteers. Even volunteering for one program helps us out! If you are a part of a group who would like to volunteer together, please contact the museum so we can schedule a date that works for everyone.
