Proposal 2 - Protect Our Jobs information

With the upcoming elections this fall, there is one proposal on the ballot that directly impacts us as Union employees, Proposal 2. Proposal 2 is about including in our state's constitution the right for collective bargaining. It would repeal some of the latest legislation that the state has enacted that targets Unions and Collective Bargaining.If you would like to see the exact wording of the proposal, you can view it here: Proposal 2. Otherwise, it is already set to print in landscape, so feel free to print it.This is a very important Proposal for all state union workers, which we are.The Protect Our Jobs group is also organizing street campaigns where you will go door to door informing people of what the proposal is about, but not every house, as there are targeted voters that they would like you to talk to. These street campaigns are happening in the local cities, we would be walking Dearborn talking to local residents about the proposal that may be on the fence about it currently.The first street campaign is occurring this Saturday, September 15, 2012, with another one scheduled for October 13 and possible one November 3.
